what accessory can I add to this dress?

I love learn how how to add accessories to the dress/outfit to make it prettier and I need lots of training in this department. I don't look good with earings unless they are just studded and simple ones, what accessories can I add to this dress to spice it up?

Shop Smart-shop Designer.

I strongly believe in less is more when it comes to fashion means buying less quantity, but higher quality items. I am picky even with under garments, but because I shop smart and know when to buy & where to buy I hardly ever paid retail for most of the things I buy

I don't pay retail on clothing items because they always go on sale or you probably can find something similiar elsewhere for less. Things that you should splurge on and buying at retail prices are classic shoes /handbags beause they almost never go on sale. These items also go up in prices every six months or so.

I do lots of online shopping, and sites that I visited frequently or when I receive email alert about a special sale (usually additional discount offered on top of the sale prices) are:
http://www.neimanmarcus.com/
http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/
http://www.theoutnet.com/

If there are some bags or shoes items that you really want, and know that they are classic items that never go on sale you can try to save money by buying them when the site/store offers gift card promotion event. Neiman Marcus online retail store and store do that couple of times a year, its like buying that classic items at 30% off when you spend $1000 and get $300 gift card.

Stell McCartney Coat as seen on model below. Christian Louboutin peeptoes lace up booties. I don't follow trend or chase down the trend on the runway. Even when I buy runway items, they tend to look more classic and not trendy. There are/were many trends that come and go that I don't care to be seen in. I don't just wear or buy something because they are In simply because I do not want to be a fashion victim or fall into the category" bad clothes happen to good people" . I must say that these boots are one of the unsual items, but surprisingly they go with almost everything in my closet. I got them few years ago and still very much in love with these shoes today as much as I love them the first day I bought them.

Stella McCartney pants from neimanmarcus.com. Retail $595, I paid $125. I can see myself pairing this pair of pants with so many things from my closet for next Spring.

Stella McCartney Resort 2011. I purchased this coat this past summer at Neiman Marcus store during their semi annual sale.

30 minutes trip to NYC

On the street of NYC

Wearing Black Jil Sander dress

Jacket by Prada

Shoes: Christian Louboutin

My cheap computer bag:)

I traveled to NYC for a business meeting this past week and met up with my designer up there. She has been to many cities and countries, yet it was her first time in NYC. Too bad it rained the night we arrived and we only had 30 minutes to roam around in the city after the meeting before she had to fly back to Toronto and I fly to Boston for a quick visit.

Do you recycle?

I set a rule for myself that when I add couple of new pieces to my closet, I I have to let go of something else that I don't wear or see myself wearing it. I bought new shoes, but I also let go of some shoes that are not practical and I hardly wear them. If I spent hundreds of dollar on one pair of shoes, and only wore them once then they are not practical enough to keep. This month, I add a Stella coat and the Row vest to my closet so I let go of two Donna Karan numbers that I either don't wear anymore or haven't worn.

The Row lambskin leather vest
This item looks much better in person than on picture

I bought this Donna Karan dress about two years ago and haven't even worn it out once so I just ebay it off. As I am getting the package ready to ship to my buyer, I feel kind of sad letting go such a pretty dress especially when I haven't had a chance to wear it. It's a classic and beautiful dress and perfect for the Fall that is about to come:).

Fabulous Fashion Finds

here is a pic of me in the coat

Stella McCartney coat/jacket from Spring 2011 Resort Collection.

I didn't intend on spending money, but this was on my wish list the moment I saw it earlier this spring...and when I saw it at Neiman Marcus on sale for 65% off, a must have for me.

Watch out because I am contagious

I switched from regular running/work out shoes to this Vibram five toes/fingers shoes:). They look weird at first, but they are very comfortable and great for legs work out because they give you that good grip you need and your feet don't slide. They are a bit pricey, but you can get them online for about $75. I got mine from Sun and Ski for $108 including tax. They are good for rock climbing and yoga too. I start to see more and more people wearing them at the gym so I don't feel weird wearing them anymore:)

I am infected with an obsession to work out and I am totally contagious. Proof? My FI is infected now because he is alwaus with me:). He may not be as obessive with working out, but he has been going to gym lots more often like four days a week, and taking on a healthy eating habits...and guess what? he has pretty good results.

How often do I work out? On an average four to time times a week. Trust me, I get lazy too, don't try to sit on the couch to watch TV after you get off from work, chance is you will not get up to make it to the gym:).

Where do I work out? Apartment home gym or between different LA fitness locations, LA Fitness Richardson, Preston and 635 and more frequently at Mid-way and Park.

What are my work out regimens? I don't use lots of machine, and/or the same work out machine everyday. I use mostly my own body weight and or free weights. Those work better, but I still use machine to change up the work out as well. I always stretch prior to and after my work out. Your muscle grows easier and you become more flexible not injured if you stretch. My work out usually starts or ends with at least 20 mins high intensive cardio either walking very fast on the treadmill with high incline or on the stair master with high speed of course.

  1. Stretch prior to and after work out

  2. Cardio of at least 20 mins only if you do high intensive or if you go low pace, you have to do 40 mins because your body won't start burning until after the first 20 minutes if you just kind of walking slow and taking it easy

  3. Weight work out: don't do the same exervise or same muscle group everyday. You have to change it up, your muscles need rest to grow. One major and minor muscle group a day.

  4. Let's say we start out with legs work out on Monday: you can either do full legs work out or just partial legs work out.

  5. Tuesday: no weight work out, must cardio and abs. On the day you only do cardio and abs, 45 mins cario and at least 15 mins abs

  6. Wednesday: back and biceps

  7. Thursday: rest if you want to, but if you feel like goign to the gym, cardio and abs

  8. Friday: Chest and tri-ceps

  9. Saturday off, rest day

  10. Sunday: shoulders and arms, some cardio to end the work out

Let's just start out like this. Working out is just as important as keeping a healthy diet if you want to ahieve optimal results. I will blog more often, and I will explain in more details on some of the good abs, legs, back, chest, arms exercises. I love fashion, I love food, but I have to maintain a healthy life style to feel good and look good in all the beautifyl clothes right?

what's new?

I have two addictions:
1) I am addicted to working out. I am a healthy nut, I work out on an average 5 days a week which including 30 mins on the stair-master, 40 mins weight, and 20-25 mins abs. I eat supper healthy and do not consume sugar, cake if I do they come from natural sources like fruits. I barely eat rice although I am Asian.

2) I have weakness for pretty designer clothes and shoes. FI and I are in the process to start a house building process, and we have been trying to look for a perfect plan. We have purchased a plan earlier this year, but had to push back on the process because I thought the plan was too big, would be wasting money on property tax and ultilies. It's been very frustrating to find a perfect plan for our lot that also has all what we need. We finally found one, and if everything goes as plan, hopefully we will have our new house by next Spring 2012.

J-brand Jeans

Christian Louboutin Knee-high suede boots
Master closet: instead of having closet in the master, we modify it to make the master bigger, and our 5th bedroom will be connected to the master and will be converted into the closet for me:). He just knows me well and he always points out plan with small closet that may not be something I like. Such a considerate person:).

It's a perfect one story house so we'll modify the ceiling to be about 12' tall through out.

Neiman Marcus Semi Annual LC sale

Neimanmarcus.com is having their semi annual LC sale and I got a pretty skirt by Just Cavalli. I love the tulip skirt and the textured material of this skirt. We'll see how it fits when I get the package in the next couple of days or next week. Head over there right now, you may find something cute at 65% off too:).

Friend's BD.

I wore this to my friend's BD last week. J-crew skirt, Givenchy silk top from Barneys, Chloe clutch, and CL patent pumps. I love love this skirt, it's so pretty and look like a nice piece that comes from couture line/price tag although it is not.

Lanvin

I told myself that I do not need another black dress, but then again this fits so perfect and nice so here I go, breaking my promise and vow:). Because it is a runway dress so it runs small, I think I am a size 34 in Lanvin, but this 36 fits perfectly without any alternation.

Where have I been?

I know this pic is lame, just want to ducument my body transformation progress:), I feel like my abs was better before the 4th of July Holidays, must be the food and drink that I consumed all 5 days weekend:). This pic was taken today:)

I am still trying to find the best button down silk shirt to go with it. This is the type of skirt if worn wrong it would go from classy to trashy.

Herve Leger sequin skirt, Robert Rodriguez pearl top and CL black pumps

Worn here to date night dinner with Mr. B-Dinh, J-crew skirt, dolce & Gabbana lace top (the top comes with straps, but I have them tucked to wear as strapless) Christian Louboutin patent leather peeptoes pumps.

I don't really have many followers and readers, but if you follow my blog you know I am not a good blogger:)

1) I don't have cool outfit post like most other bloggers:)

2) The photos on my posts are usually taken by my iphone so they are not the best quality

3) I am camera shy and don't really take pictures too often
4) I don't really go out much to any social event so this explains why my blog is dry and boring:)

weekend craving

okay it is okay to crave over pretty things. At the moment I am craving over this beautiful Sergio Rossi crystal sling back pumps and the beautiful Navy Blue Lanvin number. But I have to save up for other things so I can't spend, for now I am just admiring the on my computer screen.

I can't stand this shoes from CL.

I don't know about you, you dont have to agree with me but I personally think that these are the ugliest shoes ever from Christian Louboutin. I love CL for the height they provide me with, but I must admit that most CL shoes are not comfortable. These Lady Daf are just too bulky for any pettie frames. There is a limit to how high a pair of shoes should be, when they go beyond that max height they just look cheap, bulky, slutty and ugly altogether.

latest fabulous finds

This is my latest splurge. I had my eyes on them the first time I saw them on the Christian Louboutin blog, and I had my names on waited list at the only two stores in the U.S that have these beauties. Luckily I was able to get them in my size, they run a bit big, I am usually 35 or sometime 35.5 in most CL shoes, but for this one I had to go down half a size to 34.5. They are not the most comfortable pair of shoes in my shoes closet, but I don't mind that at all because since when sexy is comfy? No shoes that are 5 inches heels will last you for hours and hours without hurting your feet, these are definitely the shoes that required valet parking if you go out in them:). So don't expect to be wearing them and dance in them all night long:) If you are looking for that then these are not the ones for you:).

Health fitness

Although the add featuring Brook Burke's supe hot bod states that only fifteen minutes of the same exercises as shown on above picture will give you a sexier body, It is however not that simple. Let's be real, Brook Burke has always been active all her life, I had never not seen her looking super hot, and it takes years of intensive exercises and healthy diet to get that body. Even if your goal is not to get that body, it will take months of high intensive exercises and healthy diet to even see results, let's alone getting a firm bod and abs like that:(
I've been serious about health and fitness for the past two years. I worked with a trainer for a year and half, and for the past 6 months I have been doing it on my own. I set my fitness goal high, and I am almost there, however that very very thin last layer on the lower abdominal is the hardest to get rid of. My oblique muscles show, and the mid line on the abdominal muscle is more defined now, If I keep at the same pace and diet that I am currently on for the next month or so, the summer bod would have to happen, and this would be my first summer with the bod/abs that I always wanted for so long:).

I hardly eat rice, like only once a month. My diet is fruit and protein for breakfast, snack throughout the day, and clean veggies and chicken soup for dinner. Exercises I do include 45 mins to one hour of light weight focusing on one major muscle and one small muscle group a day, 20 mins abs-core, and cardio (30 mins on the treadmill) every other day. I don't work out everyday, but I try to do it at least four times a week.
