Dinner outfit

3.1 Philip Dress, bought this dress two years ago, wore it once to my BD dinner
This dress is 3 to 4 years old DVF dress, I still love it very much. This is Cheap and Chic by Moschino, was bought recently at Saks in Boston. I had it shortened to the mini dress length, looks much better. I ended up wearing the third outfit, with red red lipstick.

Long or short

When I get tired of my clothes I try to be more creative to make the piece more fun to wear again and here what I am thinking of doing, what do you think? keep the current length or have them shortened to make them mini dress length?

red hot Friday and Fabulous new finds

3.1 Philip Lim

How my new items look on me

1) The denim Jacket is D-square, I got it at http://www.eluxury.com/. It looks much better on in person than the picture. Not like I would get any use of these purchases now in this heat, but they were definitely great deals to wear in the upcoming fall and winter
2) The brown leathr jacket is by Prada: I wish it was in black instead since I already have a nice decent brown/caramel leather jacket. It fits so well, and the deal was too good to let it go. The sale lady told me that for fall 2009, Prada will come out with almost the same style jacket.
The reason I always buy classic items are because: they last me forever. I always save up and wait until the items on sale to spend money toward a more valuable classic item. Well, at least I now have two new jackets waiting for me this up coming fall and winter.

Things I regret I didn't buy

Giuseppe Zanotti

I saw these shoes when I was in Boston last months; the store I went to had a great sale going on at the time, and no sale tax neither, but they didn't have my size, however I should have asked them to locate my size from another store for me.
I began to appreciate nice designer shoes couples of years ago....and ever since then I only buy nice designer shoes, and of course I always had to wait until the end of the season to buy them or else I wouldn't be able to afford them at retail price. I am shoes addict:(

my favorite pieces

The shoes are Azzedine Alaia, they are absolutely gorgeous. I have no idea how much this pair of shoes is retailed for, but I know it's not within my range even at 50% off, first off, they are Azzedine Alaia, secondly it is made with exotic python skin, and all the details are to die for.
Jil Sander Fall 2009

Jil Sander

Jil Sander Fall 2009. I love the structure of this one shoulder dress. It is available at http://www.neimanmarcus.com/ for $2150 I believe. I don't have that kind of money to spend, but maybe if they will still be around when the store has their sale.
Jil Sander Fall 2009.

Dolce Gabbana Fall 2009. I love the volumous skirt.

I got a Moschino dress that looks almost the same as this dress during my trip to Boston last month. I changed my mind and put it on ebay for a week, it was not sold so I took it off and have it shortern to look like the one above. It will go perfectly with my red hot Christian Louboutin shoes.
You probably can tell by now that all the dresses I like or end up buying have the similiar siloquette. This is D&G
These boots were gone before I had a chance to place the order on saks.com. It's not a practical item, but it sure something fun to wear to a fashionable event. Sometime going for something out of ordinary is fun

This is such a beautiful and classic dress, and it is a piece to keep in your wardrobe forever as long as you can still fit it. I love the classic look because no matter how old the dress is, it always looks brand new and nice. I have dresses that are ten years or older and they still look great, and I still get lots of compliment every time I wear one of those. This dress is by Dolce & Gabbana, is now on sale, but the price is still too steep for me, maybe when they have an additional 50% or 60% like they did last season I may buy it:)

There are so many new designers or I am just too old fashion to be aware of them:), I still prefer the classic look from Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Prada, YSL over some of the designers that still seem too new to me.

I love everything about Thandie Newton, she has a nice thin tone body. I love the dress and the shoes. I am drooling over these shoes.

I love love nude or white dress in the summer. Her arms and legs are so tone, the best looking 40ish.
